Atheros AR9287 + nohwcrypt=1 + VirtualBox

Доброго времени суток.
Собственных мыслей по исправлению ситуации не осталось -> обращаюсь сюда.
Имеется: Gigabyte B365M D3H + i5 9400F + MSI GT1030 под управлением 18.04.4 (ситуация воспроизводится на 19.04, 19.10).
Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR9287 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01)
Проблема 1:
во время работы эпизодически (в произвольный момент времени) отваливается Wi-Fi. NetworkManager отвал не показывает. Однако, в аплете в этот момент нет ни одной видимой сети за исключением той, к которой был подключен. Переподключение не помогает. Помогает отключение адаптера и повторное включение через аплет или modprobe -rfv ath9k && modprobe -v ath9k. И так до следующего раза.
Вариант исправления /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf -> wifi.powersave = 2 не помогает. Проблема решается только так: /etc/modprobe.d/ath9k.conf -> options ath9k nohwcrypt=1. Однако, из этого решения получается проблема 2.
Проблема 2:
В случае использования гостя Win 7, Win 10 при запуске FireFox или Chromium получается падение последних. Оба сообщают либо о падении вкладок, либо закрываются. Загрузить какой-либо файл небольшого размера становится невозможным. Настолько частыми становятся падения. Помимо этого есть проблемы с запуском обновлений ОС. Постоянные сообщения об ошибках обновления. К этому добавляются частые STOP ошибки типа SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION. -> Использование VBox с гостями становится невозможно. Проблема воспроизводится как на VBox из репозитория KUbuntu, так и при использовании загруженных версий (т.е. на всех).

Если отменить параметр nohwcrypt, то проблема с VBox разрешается и возвращается нестабильная сеть. ->
Нахожусь в творческом тупике и прошу помощи.

Банальщина, но тем не менее озвучу.
Я бы начал с изучения wifi окружения. Возможно, Ваш роутер работает на том же канале что и у нескольких соседей. Тогда надо выбрать наименее загруженный канал и жестко переключить роутер на него. То есть выбор канала на роутере не должен быть "авто".
Неплохо еще изучить настройку роутера на предмет алгоритма шифрования. Жестко включить WPA2 с AES, обязательно отключить WPS.
Эти контроллеры капризные к окружению.

Сетей вокруг много (17 шт). Наименее загруженный канал постоянно изменяется (другие роутеры используют наименее загруженные каналы). Для уменьшения влияния помех мой канал в n составляет 20МГц, отключено энергосбережение роутера, установлена изолированная точка доступа.
Надо отметить, что когда сеть есть, она стабильна:

Обратите внимание на симптоматику. Нет, на мой взгляд, предпосылок, прямо или косвенно указывающих на выбор канала или настройку роутера. Проблема возникает только с конкретным адаптером на конкретной платформе.
Роутер ASUS RT-N18U. Включить WPA2 без AES в принципе невозможно.
+ как настройка роутера может быть связана с nohwcrypt?

Вот пусть и меняется, а у Вас будет жестко, скажем 6-й
Invalid misc:1783
явно указывает на конфликты в эфире
Включить WPA2 без AES
Вы не писали какой роутер. У многих есть еще варианты - пресловутое авто и, например TKIP
как настройка роутера может быть связана с nohwcrypt
Напрямую, потому что этот параметр как раз и отвечает за шифрование (аппаратно/программно).

Не вижу причин почему бы Вам не попробовать сделать так как я написал выше. Ну не получится - будете искать другие способы...

Сейчас единственным относительно свободным каналом является 13.
Поставил канал 3 (не опечатка). Ставлю эксперимент.
Посмотрел значение Invalid misc на Broadcom (ноутбук). Всего 175. У меня 386. -> Пробую различные каналы с целью минимизировать Inv.misc.
Со стороны роутера:

Тогда так: есть предположения как nohwcrypt связан с проблемами гостевых ОС через VBox?
Меня совершенно устраивает nohwcrypt=1. Однако, мне нужны и виртуальные машины. Сейчас либо одно, либо другое.

Дело, может быть, и в роутере, однако, переехав с TP-Link WN881ND на Intel 9260 проблем более нет.
У меня две платформы (Intel B365M & AMD B450M). Обе платформы использовали TL-WN881ND. На обеих проблема с потерей связи. Найденное рабочее решение только одно: nohwcrypt=1.
