ЭТО КАК???????? :-)
если стали драйвера, то все уже работать должно.
если не заработало - то смотрите, что не так сделано

Это выглядит так:
1. Устанавливаем Kinfocenter
2. Переходим в вкладку OpenGL
3. Видим надпись 3D-ускоритель: неизвестно

Исходя из данной логики и устанавливаем, что 3D ускоритель не работает, проверено практикой. Он действительно не работает

Что подразумевается под этим понятием Вами? :-)

Это выглядит так:
1. Устанавливаем Kinfocenter
2. Переходим в вкладку OpenGL
3. Видим надпись 3D-ускоритель: неизвестно
Вот в 3-м пункте должна стоять информация о карте вместо надписи "неизвестно", на версии ядра 2.6.26 под Debian все работало, но не работал wifi вот я и решил посмотреть может в kubuntu не будет таких проблем, просто если ставить в debian ядро выше 26, то появляется wifi но исчезает 3D-ускоритель. Там это связано с версией fglrx драйвера, почему то версия 9.12 fglrx driver не поддерживает 3D-ускоритель.

извините, Вы точно уверены, что 3D у Вас НЕ работает?
Мнение Кинфоцентр меня не очень интересует.. :-)

Как я Вам объясню, что это такое, ну наверное некое приложение которое отвечает за обработку 3-х мерного изображения ресурсами видео карты, а не процессора. В общем, что означает эта надпись в kinfocentre я не знаю, но знаю точно, что это не работает сейчас у меня.

И знаю, что там должна содержаться информация о карте, проверка роботоспособности можно на любой игрушки которая использует OpenGL к примеру CS

странно, у меня при тестировании выдает все то же самое, кроме кинфоцентра, ибо не стоит, но при этом игры с OpenGL работают

поставь kinfocenter, что у тебя там написано и какие игры?

По ходу у меня такая же беда. С той разницей, что у меня kubuntu 9.10.
После установки всё работало нормально, включил спец. эффекты рабочего стола. Они работали и было счастье, но чёрт дёрнул поставить более новую версию дров (catalist 9.11) и привет. tremulous вроде бы играется без проблем, но спец. эффекты включить теперь фиг получается. Ставишь галку, чтобы их включить, жмёшь "применить", а в ответ сообщение типа "нескофигурирована видеокарта для этих дел". И рипы с блюрей дисков в большом разрешении смотреть не возможно. Проц грузится до 55% и на ярких или быстрых сценах - слайд шоу.
Отсюда вопрос, как ввернуть дефолтные поприетарные дрова, которые шли с дистром или, как правильно поставить новые и какой версии???

з.ы. На сайте ATI невозможно скачать дрова версии 9.10, а они идут с дистром kubuntu 9.10.
